Open lesions, cuts, or compromised skin barrier
Active skin infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal), including herpes simplex (cold sores)
Severe rosacea or inflamed, highly reactive skin
Recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure
Use of isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 months (provider discretion required)
Recent chemical peels, laser treatments, or aggressive exfoliation (skin must be fully healed)
History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring (relative contraindication)
Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the treatment area
Suspicious or raised lesions that have not been medically evaluated
