For optimal safety and outcomes, this treatment may not be appropriate for individuals with:

• Active infections, compromised skin barrier, or open lesions
• Recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use within 6–12 months (provider dependent)
• History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding (precautionary exclusion)
• Recent excessive sun exposure or sunburn
• Use of photosensitizing medications requiring medical clearance
• Active or unstable autoimmune skin conditions
• Pacemaker
• Fitzpatrick skin types IV–VI require individualized assessment due to increased risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
• Sun tanned skin
